FAQ – Data security and privacy

Learn more about the security and privacy of your data, as well as which data you can export and how, or how to delete your data.

Do I need a password? What if I lose it?

No, logging in to Ready4Sea does not require a password. We’ve moved to a passwordless authentication to eliminate password loss issues. Instead, you’ll receive a one-time code via email to log in.

I am not receiving a code in my email address. What should I do?

First, check your spam folder. If the code is not there, please wait about 30 seconds and check again.
Our servers send the validation code instantly when you request it. However, it may take a minute or two for your email service to accept the email. In 99% of cases, it arrives within 60 seconds.
If you still do not receive the code, you can request a new one. If you end up receiving both, be sure to use the last sent code, as the other will no longer be valid.

Do you share my data and with whom?

Ready4Sea does not sell your data or share it for marketing purposes. The proper operation of the Ready4Sea solution requires the implementation of an architecture involving several external service providers. These enable the processing or storage of some of your data. The list of these service providers is provided in our privacy policy.

Where is my data stored?

We synchronize your data and files in our cloud, located in Europe whenever possible. The location of each of the services we use is detailed in our privacy policy.

How can I export my data?

Currently, you can export some of your data yourself.
Logbook : the export menu allows you to retrieve the list of tasks carried out in CSV format, which is compatible with most spreadsheets.
Reminders : the maintenance plan is available in the form of an iCal/ICS feed. This is intended for your calendar, but it can also be downloaded to retrieve your data.
Although there is no other export mechanism available yet, we firmly believe that your data belongs to you. So, if you have any other requirements, please contact us!

How can I delete my data?

Each data item can be deleted individually. If you want to delete your entire profile in one go, head over to your personal information. At the bottom of the screen, you can request the deletion of your profile. Please note that if you share a unit with another user, the data will remain as long as their profile exists.
